Google Updated Family Link App with Additional Features

Google has made new updates to the Family Link app, which will help parents better track their young children’s movements on mobile. Google’s Family Link app was initially introduced in 2017 to help parents monitor and control their children’s online activity.

The Family Link feature allows parents to control their children’s screen time and monitor app usage. New updates to the app have introduced a three-tab design that includes the Highlights tab, the Location tab, and the Controls tab.

With the location tab, parents can see their children’s movement across the device on a single map. Parents will also be able to receive notifications of their children’s arrival and departure from school, playground, or any other location.

While with the help of the Highlights tab, parents will be able to keep track of their child’s device usage and will be able to know which apps their child has installed on the mobile and how much screen time is spent on it.

Parents can set time limits for using the device and its apps in the Control tab.
