Cambridge Hosts Iftar Dinner in Honour of Professor Kamal Munir

Professor Kamal Munir, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, has received praise from the Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, for his excellent achievements to the field of education. Notable figures from the education field, including former Federal Ministers for Education Shafqat Mehmood and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, attended the event, which was organised by Cambridge International, Pakistan.

The Governor gave Professor Kamal Munir his congratulations on winning the coveted Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from the Pakistani government this year in recognition of his contributions to the field of education. He emphasised the value of education and praised Professor Munir’s dedication and skill, saying that he is a living example of the influence of education.

Professor Kamal Munir conveyed his appreciation to the Honorable Governor of Punjab, his Cambridge International Pakistan colleagues, and the educational community for their recognition of him. He remarked with pleasure about how his work and affiliation with the University of Cambridge had allowed him to represent Pakistan on a worldwide scale.

Uzma Yousuf, Country Director for Pakistan for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, too expressed her enthusiasm for the nation’s talent and those like Professor Munir who uphold Pakistan’s reputation abroad.

Members of important Cambridge schools in Lahore, such as Beaconhouse School, Lahore Grammar School, Roots, City School, and other educational institutions, attended the occasion. These institutions exist as evidence of the continued cooperation and partnership between Cambridge and Pakistan to advance high standards of education.
