The eagerly awaited CFO Conference 2023 took place in Karachi at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). The conference’s focus, “Resilient CFO – Balancing the Agenda for Tomorrow,” highlighted the vital role that chief financial officers (CFOs) play in handling difficult situations and overseeing long-term strategic ambitions.
The qualities needed for CFOs to succeed in the modern, changing corporate environment were emphasised by Mr. M. Ali Latif, President of ICAP. The Professional Excellence Awards (PEA) event, honouring outstanding ICAP members for their remarkable achievements to the business and industry sectors, took place at the same time as the conference.
Leadership, empathy, and embracing difficulties were highlighted in the keynote talks by Mr. Amir Paracha, CEO of Unilever Pakistan, and Mr. Ali Tabba, CEO of Lucky Cement Limited. Industry executives talked about operational effectiveness, future skill sets, and how to reconcile corporate priorities with optimisation initiatives.
