The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) announced that its conference titled, “Future of Work” is being rescheduled from the originally planned date of June 17, 2023 to Saturday, June 24, 2023 due to the cyclonic storm “Biporjoy” that is expected to make landfall between the June 15 and 18 period. The choice has been made in order to guarantee adherence to local authority directives and to guarantee everyone’s safety.
PAFLA, Pakistan’s top organisation for the country’s 3 million-strong community of independent contractors, issued the following statement: “Unfortunately, we have received a weather alert suggesting the potential of severe weather conditions in the metropolis throughout this week. We have decided to delay the conference since everyone’s safety and wellbeing—as well as those of all other stakeholders—is our top priority.
The location and other programme specifics won’t change, but PAFLA has promised to inform attendees of any revisions. Over 1000 people have already registered for the conference, which has attracted a lot of interest.
