Dawlance & Bondh e Shams Collaborate for Clean Water Solutions

Dawlance, a renowned home appliance company in Pakistan, has teamed up with social development group Bondh e Shams to introduce the innovative ‘OASIS Box’ concept during World Water Week. This collaboration aims to provide clean water solutions to disadvantaged communities across Pakistan through the use of solar technology.

As a subsidiary of the European giant Arçelik, Dawlance has a track record of innovation and social responsibility. The partnership with Bondh e Shams underscores Dawlance’s commitment to addressing pressing issues in Pakistan.

At the heart of this collaboration is the ‘OASIS Box,’ a mobile solar-powered water filtration and storage device designed to combat bacterial water contamination. This initiative ensures a consistent supply of safe drinking water to communities in need. With each ‘OASIS Box’ capable of generating 10,000 liters of clean water daily, the potential impact on thousands of lives is substantial.

Dawlance has committed to providing financial support and resources over five years to enable Bondh e Shams to execute the ‘OASIS Box’ initiative. This partnership also encompasses infrastructure enhancement through the installation of accessible water stations and boreholes. Stringent water-quality testing adheres to international standards, ensuring the delivered water’s purity.

Umar Ahsan Khan, CEO of Dawlance, highlights the brand’s enthusiasm for this transformative project and emphasizes its ongoing commitment to assisting Bondh e Shams in achieving its mission.

This partnership serves as a model for socially conscious collaborations, encouraging companies to actively participate in initiatives that uplift communities. The Dawlance-Bondh e Shams alliance mirrors Dawlance and Arçelik’s broader commitment to education, healthcare, empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

The ‘OASIS Box’ initiative marks a significant step in Pakistan’s fight against water scarcity. This partnership offers hope for a more sustainable future and underscores the potential of collective actions to drive impactful change.”
