Coca-Cola has unexpectedly entered the field of artificial intelligence in order to add a distinctive flavor to its line of colas. This brand-new soda, dubbed Y3000, is being hailed as “the drink from the future” and is presently offered in standard and sugar-free varieties for a constrained period of time.
Although its name conjures up a futuristic atmosphere, Y3000 hasn’t yet revealed any specifics about its palate. Early tasters compared it to the flavor of a “raspberry slushy.”
Coca-Cola researchers first started gathering information on consumer flavor preferences in order to find trends that would determine the “flavors of the future.” An exclusive artificial intelligence technology used this dataset to assist create the distinctive flavor profile of Y3000.
Additionally, Coca-Cola used artificial intelligence (AI) to create the artwork for the Y3000 cans. The cans have a colorful, neon-purple look with a beachy vibe that is evocative of the imagery produced by websites like Dall-E or Midjourney. Additionally, this AI-inspired flavor is also offered in conventionally sized bottles.
Although Y3000 is advertised as a limited edition taste, Coca-Cola has not provided a retirement date, thus it is unclear how long it will be available. It is anticipated that access will be available at least until the fall season. Notably, Coca-Cola has also disclosed a partnership with the high-end streetwear label Ambush, with intentions to introduce a clothing line with Y3000-themed designs later in the year.
