ICC Cricket World Cup Presenter Zainab Abbas Deported from India

While covering the ICC World Cup, Pakistani sports presenter Zainab Abbas was threatened with deportation from India. Her removal was justified by claims made by an Indian lawyer that she had made disparaging remarks against India and the Hindu religion on social media.

Zainab Abbas vigorously refuted these allegations, claiming they were unfairly directed at her. According to some sources, the International Cricket Council (ICC) was unable to stop her expulsion as a result of alleged Indian interference.

Zainab’s supporters contend that the contentious tweets in question had nothing to do with her work as a presenter and shouldn’t have led to her expulsion from India. As of yet, the ICC has not issued a formal statement on this issue.

Remember that the charge against Zainab Abbas was based on old tweets that were found again and were allegedly “anti-Hindu” in nature. This circumstance is significant since Zainab Abbas is now in Dubai and was chosen by the ICC to serve as the official presenter for the ICC Cricket World Cup.
