Shell Pakistan's Impressive Nine-Month Financial Report

Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) has revealed its nine-month financial results, which represent a noteworthy accomplishment for the country’s corporate community. For the nine months ending on September 30, 2023, the company declared an impressive profit after tax of PKR 6,450 million, a significant contrast to the PKR 2,864 million in the same period the previous year.

Interim cash dividends for the quarter and the nine-month period ending on September 30, 2023, were announced alongside the announcement. Shell International Petroleum Company’s one-time technical service fee relief was one factor contributing to this outstanding financial performance.

SPL still places a high priority on environmental preservation, public safety, and corporate performance. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recognized their efforts to promote the safety of fuelling two- and three-wheelers. The launch of 19 additional retail locations marked the expansion of the Mobility business. In addition, the Voice of Customer initiative was launched, enabling users to provide real-time feedback via QR codes. This program generated over 30,000 answers and insightful data.

Shell lubricant bottles were repurposed to construct a road in Karachi that was injected with plastic, demonstrating SPL’s dedication to sustainability. By working with Concept Loop, a firm founded by Shell Tameer alumni, pavers made from plastic trash were installed at a Shell retail location in Karachi, providing a repeatable and sustainable solution.

SPL worked with regional farmers in collaboration with the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) to convert agricultural waste into biochar, greatly enhancing soil health and resulting in a 50% increase in land production. This project demonstrates how biochar technology may be used to lower emissions brought on by burning agricultural waste.

Shell Pakistan Limited is dedicated to maintaining high standards of operation, safety, and responsible corporate citizenship. The company hopes to improve its financial position while making a good impact on society.
