Dawlance's Commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness with Pink Ribbon

Dawlance has teamed up with Pink Ribbon Pakistan and Santex, a top manufacturer of personal hygiene products, to promote awareness about menstrual hygiene and breast cancer. Prioritizing environmental sustainability, public health, education, women’s empowerment, and other socio-economic development activities, Dawlance is a subsidiary of Arcelik, the second-largest electronics producer in Europe.

During an informative workshop, Dawlance employees received useful insights into the diagnosis, treatment, and causes of breast cancer from specialists from Pink Ribbon and Santex, including oncologists. They emphasized the significance of early detection and prophylactic action. In conjunction with the worldwide ‘Pink-tober’ campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer, Dawlance’s Head Office will be lit up with pink floodlights for the entire month of October, and staff members will make donations to cancer patients’ medical care.

The CEO of Pink Ribbon Pakistan, Dr. Omer Aftab, emphasized that social stigmas and limited access to healthcare can impede the high risk of breast cancer that affects one in nine Pakistani women. He thanked Dawlance for their continued assistance.

Umar Ahsan Khan, CEO of Dawlance, highlighted the company’s dedication to its social responsibility as a frontrunner in the sector. Pink Ribbon, an international group, has constructed the first state-of-the-art breast cancer detection and treatment facility in Pakistan, offering free care to deserving patients. In keeping with its social responsibility strategy, Santex, which is well-known for its ‘Butterfly’ brand of feminine hygiene products, supports the UN Sustainable Goals while making sure that its products are both affordable and accessible to consumers.

The collaboration of Dawlance, Pink Ribbon Pakistan, and Santex represents a dedication to enhancing public health, empowering women, and raising awareness of menstruation hygiene and breast cancer in Pakistan.
