Shell Pakistan Celebrates Innovation at Tameer Awards 2023

To recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements of Pakistan’s youth entrepreneurs, Shell Pakistan Limited held the 10th Tameer Awards 2023 at Shell House. Nearly 400 applications were submitted for the prizes; thirty finalists were carefully chosen from six different award categories. Prominent figures from the corporate, academic, and industrial domains attended the event and saw the finalists present their ideas to a panel of experts who selected the winners and runner-ups in each genre.

Engaging panel talks on innovation and entrepreneurship were also a component of the event, with the goal of fostering growth within the startup ecosystem. The CEO and Managing Director of Shell Pakistan Limited, Waqar Siddiqui, took pride in the outstanding progress Pakistan’s youth had made in a variety of fields, bringing creative solutions to pressing national problems. He emphasized Shell’s dedication to supporting enterprise development and youth investment through the Shell Tameer initiative.

Prominent projects including Algaverse, She Guard, Inlights, Creative 3D Pvt Limited, HaloPlast, and Bendcrete Constructions were among the 10th Tameer Awards 2023’s grand winners. These projects covered a range of topics, including clean energy solutions, women’s empowerment, technology innovation, and circular economy.

Green Black Agri Solutions, Bizb Store, Mehran Stairlift, Agribot, Mycohues, and Ecopulp Pakistan were the runners-up, demonstrating even more of the inventiveness and diversity of Pakistan’s business scene.

Since its launch, the Shell Tameer initiative has engaged one million young people and greatly boosted local economies by encouraging entrepreneurship. Notably, nine Shell Tameer entrepreneurs were honored with the coveted Shell ‘Top Ten Innovators Awards,’ garnering both domestic and worldwide attention, and ten Pakistani businesses were awarded worldwide Trade grants.
