Coca-Cola Pakistan & Rizq Fight Hunger with 8 Million Meals

Coca-Cola Pakistan and Rizq, a local non-profit, are teaming up for the fourth year in a row to fight hunger in Pakistan. Their goal this year is to distribute over 8 million meals across 9 cities, reaching more than 150,000 people.

The partnership extends beyond just providing meals. Coca-Cola Pakistan and Rizq are also empowering small farmers by supplying them with seeds and helping them rebuild land affected by the 2022 floods through their GroRizq-Kissan Dost program. In previous years, their collaboration resulted in distributing over 6 million meals and assisting over 1000 small farming families.

Consumers can easily contribute to the cause through Coca-Cola’s “Buy One, Donate One” campaign. Simply scan the donation QR code found on Coca-Cola bottles.

“Strategic partnerships are crucial in tackling large-scale hunger,” said Aisha Sarwari, Coca-Cola Pakistan’s Senior Director of Public Affairs. “Rizq’s impressive results and dignified approach made them the perfect partner. We’ve expanded our efforts to include community kitchens and sustainable farming initiatives.”

Rizq co-founder Huzaifa Ahmad emphasized the program’s focus on nutritious and delicious meals. “Our GroRizq-Kissan Dost program empowers farming communities with resources and knowledge,” he said. “We’re grateful to Coca-Cola for their integral role in making these programs a success.”
