P&G Pakistan Championed for Gender Equality and Diversity

P&G Pakistan was recognized for its commitment to gender equality and diversity at the 6th annual OICCI Women Empowerment Awards. The company received the prestigious “Champion of 2023” title, solidifying its ongoing efforts to promote a fair and inclusive workplace.

The Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) is the largest investment chamber in Pakistan. Their Women Empowerment Awards program aims to encourage member companies to champion gender equality within their organizations. P&G Pakistan’s consistent dedication to this cause earned them the top award for the second year running.

P&G Pakistan prioritizes fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. This includes advocating for gender equality throughout the company and across industries, removing barriers to girls’ education and creating economic opportunities for women. The company has achieved a gender-balanced leadership team, with over 50% women in key roles. They also implement policies promoting mental wellness and addressing unconscious bias, while engaging and empowering Gen Z employees. Progressive parental leave benefits are offered for both mothers and fathers.

P&G Pakistan’s commitment to equality extends beyond its employees. The company partners with organizations like HOPE and Akhuwat Microfinance to provide quality education for over 20,000 girls and offer microloans to empower approximately 100 women entrepreneurs. P&G is also a proud partner of STEMconnector, supporting girls’ and women’s pursuit of STEM careers. Through mentorship programs, they have guided nearly 1,000 women towards success in various fields.
