Coca-Cola Pakistan Wins Award for Sustainable Practices

Coca-Cola Pakistan received the Governor’s Appreciation Certificate for its sustainability efforts. The award highlights their leadership in environmental and social initiatives, particularly their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs. Coca-Cola is the first in Pakistan to get approval for recycled PET (rPET) packaging, promoting a more sustainable future.

The company’s involvement in Pakistan’s groundbreaking plastic road project, utilizing 10,000 tons of recyclable plastic, is also recognized. They actively collaborate with the government and industry partners to establish a framework for (rPET) use and streamline recycling. Notably, Coca-Cola has set an ambitious target of recycling 6,000 metric tons of plastic in 2024.

This year marks the third anniversary of Pakistan’s first plastic road project, showcasing Coca-Cola’s dedication to sustainable innovation. The Governor’s Appreciation Certificate is a well-deserved recognition of their contributions to environmental and social sustainability, paving the way for a more responsible future.
