Jazz Invests Big in Pakistan's Digital Infrastructure

Pakistan’s leading digital operator, Jazz, continues to drive the country’s digital transformation with a significant investment of PKR 5.3 billion in the first quarter of 2024. This brings their total investment to a staggering $10.6 billion.

Jazz is focusing on expanding and upgrading their 4G network, particularly in underserved areas. This has resulted in a substantial increase in their 4G customer base to 45.9 million. Additionally, they’ve emerged as the region’s largest Voice over LTE (VoLTE) network with over 23 million daily active users.

Their commitment extends beyond connectivity. JazzCash, Pakistan’s leading fintech platform, witnessed an 89% year-over-year revenue surge with a Gross Transaction Value of Rs 6.6 trillion. Their extensive network of agents and merchants is significantly contributing to financial inclusion within the country.

Jazz is also venturing into EdTech, HealthTech, and developing AI-powered Urdu language models to bridge the “AI language gap” and create relevant applications. Their entertainment platform, Tamasha, boasts 12 million monthly active users, while their cloud platform, Garaj, is empowering businesses with advanced solutions.
