The Zindigi Prize, Pakistan’s premier social entrepreneurship competition, recently wrapped up a spectacular regional event in Lahore. Held from September 1st to 3rd, this three-day event, hosted by Zindigi in partnership with JS Bank and the University of Lahore, showcased the incredible talent and potential of young entrepreneurs from across the Punjab region.
With over 160 universities participating, the Zindigi Prize ignited a wave of enthusiasm among aspiring business leaders, offering them a platform for seed funding and mentorship. The event began with an engaging opening ceremony at the University of Lahore, setting the stage for a series of impactful workshops and sessions. On the second day, attendees benefited from hands-on workshops focused on marketing, idea pitching, fundraising, and scaling startups. The Speed Dating session was a highlight, enabling students to connect with over 20 industry experts and gain invaluable feedback on their start-up concepts.
The top innovators of the Punjab region were announced with HiRenze from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, clinching the top prize. CardioGuardian System from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, was named 1st Runner-Up, and Relife from the University of Lahore secured the 2nd Runner-Up spot.
Dr. Amjad Pervaiz, Director of Strategy & Internationalization at UOL, praised the Zindigi Prize for fueling the entrepreneurial spirit of Pakistani students and investing in the country’s future economy. Ibtisam Babar, Regional Manager of Special Initiatives at Zindigi, emphasized the prize’s role in driving meaningful change and supporting young innovators.
