A statement from the Finance Division early on Thursday said that the government had raised the prices of petroleum products in the country. The new price of a litre of petrol is Rs235.98.
The price of petrol has risen by Rs 2.07 per litre following the revision of petroleum product prices. According to the notification, the price of high-speed diesel has also been increased by Rs2.99, with the new price being Rs247.43 per litre. The price of light diesel oil will rise by Rs 9.79 per litre to 201.54 per litre.
According to the Finance Division’s notification, the new price of kerosene oil is Rs210.32 per litre, an increase of Rs10.92 per litre. The new prices will go into effect on September 1st, according to the notification.
