Shan Masood, who bats first for Pakistan, hurt himself during a practice session Friday in Melbourne. The team got to the city on Thursday to play in the big match against India on Sunday.
During the net session, Mohammad Nawaz may have hit Shan Masood in the neck with a short. Shan Masood fell to the ground right away. A video shows Nawaz crying and falling to the ground after his quick hit on Masood.
Also, after being treated in the practice field, he was taken to a nearby medical center for more tests. “All of Shan Masood’s neurological observations are normal,” a spokesperson for the Pakistan Cricket Board said, adding that his CT scan only shows that the ball hit him on the skin.
He has no symptoms right now, and since he has a concussion, he will be retested tomorrow (Saturday).
