Former renowned all-rounder known for his classic sixers, Shahid Afridi has displayed grievances over the devastating condition of a metropolitan city, Karachi due to monsoon spells.
On Thursday, he was speaking to the media during a local event in which he said that this massive destruction is because of the own people of Karachi. Shahid Afridi lamented, “Our elders have done injustice to Karachi. This city now needs honest people who can work for its development. If any political party does development work in this city, I am with them”.
The recent spells of monsoon have devastated Karachi once again, which has also resulted in urban flooding. People living in Karachi are still asking for the support of the government. Every year, the rainfall creates many travel-related challenges as rainwater collects in various places and seeps into buildings like shops and homes.
Throughout July, Karachi saw heavy monsoon rains that flooded numerous low-lying sections of the port city.
