One day after predicting more showers in Karachi for the next 24 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) indicated that the city and the rest of the province may be affected by the rain-producing system that is currently present in central India. This news came one day after the PMD predicted more showers in Karachi for the next 24 hours.

On August 23, according to the chief meteorologist, Sardar Sarfaraz, there is a good chance that Karachi will receive additional precipitation as a result of the Indian monsoon system.

He went on to say that one of the tracks of the monsoon system shows its direction towards the west, while the other track shows its direction towards the upper Sindh and South Punjab. This information was gleaned from the weather charts.  He went on to say that widespread rainfall in Sindh was possible if the system continued to move toward the west.  The official said that there will still be a chance of rain in Karachi until the evening of August 24 and August 25.

When asked about the specifics of the extremely low-pressure system, Sarfaraz revealed that it is currently located in the middle of India and is moving in the direction of the state of Rajasthan in India. It is possible that this will bring rain to Karachi, the central and upper Sindh regions, as well as the northern and eastern parts of Balochistan.
