In a horrifying occurrence in Sindh’s Sanghar district, a girl stricken by disastrous floods was allegedly raped by a rickshaw driver under the guise of rationing. In a police statement, the victim stated that the rickshaw driver provided her rations from the relief camp and took her to his home, where he reportedly raped the victim for two days.
DIG Nawabshah Irfan Baloch told ARY News that the suspect had been caught by police and that more questions were being asked. A Flood Survivor Gives Birth to a Newborn and Names Him “SAILAB KHAN.”
He stated that the culprit was a rickshaw driver who was apprehended once the victim girl was identified. “Police are conducting a medical assessment of a victim, and legal action will be taken against the culprit,” the statement said.
Floods have devastated Sindh
Floods all over the country were caused by the heavy rains in June. These floods washed away large areas of important crops and damaged or destroyed more than a million homes.
Hundreds of thousands of people who have been forced to leave their homes are in desperate need of shelter, food, and clean water. In the next few days, more flooding is expected to hit parts of the country, especially Sindh.

Sindh has been severely impacted by the devastating floods, with over 400 people killed in the province since June of this year.
