At least 26 street criminal incidents involving millions of rupees were reported to ISLAMABAD police on Monday.

26 Crimes were Reported on the Streets in Islamabad

Islamabad – Four people with weapons broke into Humayun Nawaz’s store near Bahara bridge and stole R435,000. They also took Rs45,000 in cash and three customers’ cell phones. In another case, four armed people broke into the Rawat home of Abdul Rashid and stole Rs150,000, four tolas of gold jewellery, and a cell phone.

Two gunmen also held up Faiz M. Tahir in Noon and stole Rs1.5 million from him, the police said. Three armed people also took Rs400,000 and three cell phones from Waqas in Tarnol, the police said.

In the same way, two gunmen broke into M. Yaqub’s marble shop at I-9 Markaz and stole Rs50,000 and two cell phones. Two thieves stopped Jehangir Khan and his friend Kazim Hussain near Pims and stole Rs9,000 and two cell phones from them.

Also, two people stopped Faizan Muzamil on the Islamabad Highway and took his brand-new motorcycle from him. M. Shoaib was robbed at the CDA bus stop by three men with guns. They took his motorcycle, cash, and cell phone.

Sadat Hussain Bukhari and his friend were robbed in Faizabad. They lost Rs4,840 and their cell phones.

The police said that thieves broke into the house of Amar Yasir in Margalla Town and stole Rs2.7 million and 33 tola worth of gold jewellery. They also said that thieves broke into the house of M. Zohaib in Dhoke Bota and stole Rs275,000 and gold jewellery worth Rs125,000.

Also, R100,000 was stolen from M. Imran’s shop, and three women who pretended to be customers stole gold jewellery from a shop in Bhara Kahu’s Moti Bazaar. The car of Syed Azhar Ali, which was parked at F-6 Markaz, also had Rs396,000 stolen from it.

Four cars were stolen in DHA Phase 2, G-9/4, and G-13-1, and seven motorcycles were taken from Sharifabad, Pims, CBR Housing Society, G-9 weekly bazaar, Merabadi, and Soan Garden.
