Karachi Guy Arrested for Harassing Turkish Vlogger

In Karachi, police arrested a man for allegedly harassing Seda Nur, a Turkish vlogger who is staying in Pakistan, to show the good side of the South Asian country in her videos.

The change happened because of Nur’s video, which went viral on social media, in which she talked about being harassed in Karachi’s Saddar neighborhood.

In the video, Nur put together clips from her vlog in which a man in a blue t-shirt followed her around a Saddar market as she walked along the road. The vlog ended where another clip began, which Nur seems to have recorded later to show who was “harassing” her.

The vlogger said that while she was making a video for her vlog, a man kept following her and “touched” her when he could.

“So, as you could see, this strange man in blue started following me, and every time I stopped, he would pass me and wait somewhere for me to pass him again so he could follow me again,” Nur said.

When she realized something was wrong, she stopped and made sure he wasn’t anywhere nearby. The female vlogger said that someone “touched” her back as she looked at her phone.

I just turned around and was about to punch someone when I saw a little boy. I thought he might have touched me by accident because he was only about 12 years old, “she said, adding that she didn’t do anything because he was so young.

Nur said that as she walked to her place, she noticed that the “man in blue” was again behind her and that “the boy” was also on her left. But she yelled at them to get them to leave.

The Karachi police took action and arrested Shoaib, who was said to have harassed the tourist. Shoaib later apologized to the tourist.

In a video that the police shared, Shoaib said, “I didn’t know that this lady would think of me as a stalker.” I was following her around, but I didn’t mean anything terrible […]. I’m sorry that she felt bad, which makes me feel bad, “he said.
