According to the Pakistan Meteorological Service, Pakistan may face severe weather from April 2 to April 4 as another westerly wave moves into the country’s western region (PMD). On Monday, the weather system is anticipated to become more intense in the upper sections of the nation.

During the forecast period, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are anticipated to have sporadic heavy rain and hailstorms, while Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, and other towns throughout the nation are also expected to experience these conditions. The PMD has issued a warning that severe winds and hailstorms might harm standing crops, especially the wheat crop, as well as infrastructure.

During the forecast period, flash floods are anticipated in the following locations: Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Nowshera, Waziristan, Bajaur, Kurram, and Kashmir. Landslides may also happen in the following locations: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, and Galliyat.

Visitors have been urged to use caution while the forecast is in effect. Authorities have also been warned by the PMD to take precautions to stay safe throughout the anticipated timeframe.

During this weather spell, it is crucial to take the required precautions and stay away from risky places. To prevent damage or fatalities, the PMD has asked citizens to monitor weather forecasts and abide by safety precautions.
