This touching song, “Qurban Huway,” was written by renowned author Khalilur Rehman Qamar. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan provides the stirring vocals, and Naveed Naushad is responsible for the heartfelt music. Defense Day, also known as “Yaum-e-Difa,” is a holiday that has special meaning for Pakistanis. It is celebrated on September 6 to recognize the remarkable efforts made by Pakistani soldiers to defend the country’s frontiers. On this day, we remember the occasion in 1965 when Indian soldiers invaded Pakistan’s province of Punjab in retaliation to Pakistan’s Operation Grand Slam in Jammu.
