Zong Empowers Marginalized Students at Kohsar School with Digital Education

Zong, Pakistan’s leading telecommunications and technology company, has made a significant contribution to education by upgrading the digital learning lab at Kohsar School, Islamabad. This latest initiative is a step forward in Zong’s mission to bridge the digital divide in underserved communities across Pakistan, providing equal educational opportunities for all students, regardless of their background.

The newly revamped digital lab at Kohsar School, located in Islamabad’s F-6/3 sector, is equipped with cutting-edge tools and technology that support gamified and interactive learning. This upgrade aims to create an engaging environment for primary-level students, most of whom have had little prior exposure to digital tools. The school, which serves over 400 students, predominantly from marginalized communities, now boasts a space that encourages visual and interactive learning, allowing students to explore subjects in a dynamic and tech-enabled way.

With over 70% of the students at Kohsar School hailing from underserved communities, Zong’s initiative aims to level the playing field and ensure that these children have the tools and resources they need to succeed in today’s digital world. The company is also focused on creating lasting social impact, with plans to continue supporting educational spaces like robotics labs, art studios, and tech learning centers in the future.

Andleeb Aslam, Zong’s official spokesperson, expressed the company’s commitment to this cause, stating, “By integrating digital tools into the classroom, we are not only enhancing learning but also laying the groundwork for equitable access to digital opportunities, regardless of a child’s background.”

This digital transformation is more than just a technology upgrade—it’s about fostering social inclusion, gender equality, and long-term community development. As Kohsar School continues to evolve and improve its facilities, initiatives like this are vital in creating a more inclusive and technologically empowered society.
