In a forward-thinking move to bridge the gap between academia and the job market, Skills360 Pakistan has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST). The partnership, facilitated under the leadership of Skills360’s Executive Director Kashif Hussain Shah and FUUAST’s Director ORIC Dr Hina Akram Mudassir, is aimed at empowering students with practical, industry-relevant skills.
The collaboration ensures reserved access for FUUAST students, with 25 dedicated seats across multiple Skills360 courses. In a show of inclusive educational commitment, Skills360 will also offer a 50% scholarship on all its courses to students nominated by university authorities. This initiative directly supports students in accessing affordable, quality upskilling opportunities aligned with real-world career demands.
A noteworthy aspect of this MoU is the possibility for FUUAST to recognize Skills360 courses as electives within their degree programs, pending curriculum alignment. This integration not only enriches academic offerings but also accelerates students’ readiness for the job market.
What sets this partnership apart is the embedded career support for high-performing students. Through Skills360’s extensive industry network, top achievers will gain access to internships, giving them hands-on exposure and a competitive edge in securing employment post-graduation.
Speaking on the occasion, Skills360 co-founder Burhan Mirza emphasized the vision behind the collaboration: preparing graduates who are not only academically strong but also professionally competent. He stated, “This partnership is about aligning classroom learning with in-demand market skills to create real employment opportunities.”
FUUAST Vice Chancellor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari praised the initiative, calling it a crucial step toward enhancing student employability and industry engagement.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by senior members from both institutions, including Dr. Shaukat Wasi (Academic Director, Skills360), and Kashif Hussain Shah (also CEO of ProByte, Skills360’s technical partner), alongside the Vice Chancellor and academic leadership from FUUAST.
This landmark collaboration is a strong reflection of Pakistan’s growing focus on skill-based education and public-private partnerships in higher education.
