Tuesday: A “stop list” was published by Russia in which 20 people and 29 other journalists from the UK were barred from entering the Russian territory.
According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the updated list contains the names of such people who have a connection with the defense industry in the UK.
The Russian Foreign Ministry amended the “stop list”, responding to the personal sanctions adopted by the British Government towards executives and leading journalists of Russia.
Some of the renowned journalist names added to the “stop list” include Financial Times, Guardian, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky News, the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times, the Times, the Independent, and the Daily Mail.
The Foreign Ministry of Russia stated, “The British journalists included in the list are involved in the deliberate dissemination of false and one-sided information about Russia and the events in Ukraine and Donbas. With their biased assessments, they also contribute to fueling Russophobia in British society.”
Other UK officials added to the “stop list” include parliament members, military officials, and defense contractors.
