In a world where we frequently see drivers being charged with alleged harassment claims and misbehavior, it is heartening to know that there are a lot of good-natured souls out there as well.
Recently, a case was reported to us, where a rider had forgotten a bag of jewelry in an Uber. The lost property was valued somewhere between PKR500,000 – PKR 800,000 – a staggering amount indeed! Now, knowing how we as a society are quick to judge, I am sure most of you reading this are probably feeling bad for the guy who managed to forget such valuables in an Uber. But, this tale has no sorry ending.
Thinking that all was lost, the rider made last-ditch attempts to contact the driver, but to no avail. He also contacted Uber support, where he was assured of an extensive investigation into the matter. However, miraculously, the driver himself contacted the said rider and safely returned the bag with all belongings intact. This definitely goes out to show how there are self-less, well-natured drivers on the Uber platform, and one should not be quick to judge them.
