Massive 7.7 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Islamabad and Parts of Pakistan

There was a significant earthquake today that affected areas of Pakistan and Islamabad. In the morning, at around 9:50, there was an earthquake. Islamabad and neighbouring areas experienced strong jolts.

Several cities, including Islamabad, Punjab, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, reported feeling the effects of the earthquake. According to early accounts, the earthquake had a Richter scale magnitude of 7.7. Also, neighbouring nations including Afghanistan, India, and China felt the quake.

The earthquake, which had a Richter value of 6.8, happened at 9:47 p.m., according to the Met Department. According to reports, the epicentre was 180 kilometres deep and located in Afghanistan’s Hindukush region.

According to early accounts, the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.7. Many fled their homes out of terror. There have not yet been any reports of injuries or damage. The situation is being closely watched.

The United States Geological Survey, on the other hand, gave the magnitude as 6.5 with Jurm, Afghanistan, as the epicentre. There have been no reports of injuries or damage as of yet.
